FLEUR DE LYS

Welcome to the Fleur de Lys.  She is impeccably appointed, with a gracious elegance and amenities synonymous with luxury.  Similar in size to a large hotel barge (ordinarily carrying up to 22 passengers), the Fleur de Lys accommodates a maximum of six guests in 2,500 square feet of living space.

Her three spacious double staterooms each feature canopied beds, ensuite bathrooms with double basins, and bathtubs.  The cozy salon with its piano and large picture windows is rich in texture and comfort.  The formal dining room has been tastefully decorated to host the most elegant five course candlelight dinners as well as your daily breakfast and casual lunches.

Cruise Itinerary

The Fleur de Lys cruises the classic Burgundy route bordering France's famous Côte d'Or - composed of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune- where legendary wines bearing the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus labels are waiting to be enjoyed.  You willl recognize names like Meursault, Montrachet, Gevrey-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Pommard and Santenay, and sample wines that are rarely available outside the borders of France.  You will cruise some of the most picturesque waterways in France, including the river Saône and the Canal du Centre (built 1783-1791 to link the Loire and Saone rivers).  The towns and villages visited enroute include Beaune, Dijon, St. Jean de Losne, Chalon-sur-Saône and Dole.  The Fleur de Lys is easily reached from Paris by TGV.  You will be personally escorted from your hotel in Paris to the train station for the one and one-half hour trip, and then met by the crew on the platform in Dijon.

After an on-board welcome party, accompanied by champagne and canapés, your crew will introduce you to the many amenities that make the Fleur de Lys so special.   They will outline the week's itinerary and answer your questions.   The entire crew is dedicated to making your voyage the experience of a lifetime. They are knowledgeable about local places of interest.  Whether you fancy an afternoon of wine-tasting in a nearby cave, or prefer to bicycle through a medieval town, shop at a village bazaar, and admire the intricate architecture of a Gothic church, the crew will make it happen for your.  And best of all, at the end of the day, the Fleur de Lys is always nearby.  You will have time to relax on deck, bask in the sun, swim in the heated pool and join with your friends in the elegant salon to share your memories of the day.  After docking on the banks of a small rural village for the night, the evening festivities begin with cocktails and hors-d'oeuvres, and yet another opportunity to savor the local wine and cheeses after the presentation of your chef's latest culinary masterpiece.  Later, as you reflect on the experiences of the day and anticipate the adventures of tomorrow, you will ask yourself... does it get any better than this?
