Our Terms and Conditions

OnYourOwn Professional Planning Fees:

A professional planning fee of $500.00 applies to any custom itinerary that we prepare for you.  This fee is paid in two installments: the first half at the time that we open your file and begin planning the itinerary; the balance is due when we deliver your documents.

Bookings undertaken within 8 weeks of the departure date will carry a supplemental charge, which is a percentage of the fee and to be determined by the complexity of the arrangements. If you decide to cancel your trip for any reason, an "unbooking" fee of $250.00 becomes due and payable.

If you just need a hotel, theater tickets, a car, a “meet and assist”, visa arrangements, or any other type of booking that does not require a detailed itinerary, fees begin at $100.00.

As a general rule, we do not issue airline tickets, but are happy to serve as your consultant in regard to all transportation logistics, including the air most appropriate to your itinerary.  Any airline ticketing that we might undertake on your behalf, and as an exception to that rule, whether in conjunction with a tour or for your independent travel, carries a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per ticket.

Travel Credentials:

Each traveler is responsible for obtaining and carrying the proper travels documents such as passport, visas and health certificates as required by the countries you will be visiting.

The current requirements for U.S. citizens may be found at the U.S. Department of State web site.  If you are a citizen of a country other than the United States you should consult your consulate.  We are happy to help you to obtain visas.  Fees vary by country and type of service.

Health Requirements:

Each traveler is responsible for satisfying any medical requirements of the destinations you plan to visit. And, of course, you must obtain and carry with you the medications necessary for treatment of any chronic conditions.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention provides travelers with current information about health conditions around the world.  You should of course always carry more than an adequate supply of your personal prescriptions on your person at all times during your travels.
